Body Pulled From Delaware River ID'd: Philadelphia Police (Update)

A man who was found dead in the Delaware River on Thursday, July 26 has been identified, Philadelphia police announced in an updated release the following morning.

Darnell Dogan, 42, of the 4600 block of Ditman Street, was found near North Delaware and Linden avenues in Torresdale around 3:30 p.m., authorities wrote.

He was pulled from the river by a PPD marine unit and pronounced dead at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday.

Detectives are investigating, the department added.
